Alright mud,

It’s finally time to say goodbye to the wife’s explorer. I am searching for a clean 100 series. Insert desired specs from every other wanted add here haha... I am able to travel but a local rig would be cherry.

Let me know what you got!

The 100 in my avatar will be for sale soon. I haven't posted yet as we're waiting for the 200 to arrive to take over duties. Just turned 200k, built, etc. etc.

I have a 2000 LC with 139k miles that is in great shape, bought out of Texas last year. Have put some money into it but as far as drivetrain and suspension it's all stock. Not necessarily interested in selling but I'd entertain a conversation if you want to PM me.

I like this one a lot. It's an LX though...

I have an LX470 I may want to part with. 257,xxx miles on it. It is pearl white with tan interior.

It has over $17,000 in local maintenance records on it going back to 132,000 miles and 2007. Michelin tires less ($985) than two years old with about 13K miles (I need to double check for specifics) tires just rotated. New tan leather interior done about a a year ago (about $1800) including a nice leather wrap for steering wheel that makes it look new. AHC works as it should and I changed the fluid within the last year and a half. TB is due soon. I had some touch up work done to fix a scratch in the door and repaint the bumpers ($1200).

The reason I am considering selling is I bought it (here on IH8Mud) and fixed it up for my youngest son to drive when he gets his license next year. I bought it because of the excellent mechanical shape it is in. We fixed up the cosmetics. They weren't horrible, just needed some love.

Reason for selling is due to a side swipe with a parking garage column at A&M on the right rear quarter panel. So it will need some work to fix properly for your wide (I imagine), but it is not horrible. I figure it will take between $2000 on the low end to $5700 for a factory professional fix. I received a verbal on the low end fix and I have a hard estimate for the high end. If I still had my old body shop connections in South Texas, I figure I could get it done for $2500 to be near perfect using a few used parts. We drove it back from B/CS Sunday and it ran like a top at speed while being quiet as a mouse inside.

I'd be looking for $7500-$8000 if you want to check it out. I am in Cedar Park. Otherwise, I may go ahead and repair it.

I know the repair may be a deal breaker, but you would end up with a very nice example with a little time and money invested on the repair. It shows like an example with much fewer miles.

I have a black on gray 2002 LC with nav and 3rd row seat that just crossed 170k. I’m probably going to post a for sale thread soon. We have three vehicles and are getting my wife a new daily driver with better gas mileage and tech to serve as a road trip hauler for our growing family. I’ve owned this LC for 6 years and have service records for most of its life (although there is a brief gap after second owner sold it). It is in good condition for its age and pretty much bone stock. I had visions of making it into an overland vehicle, but life gets in the way of life sometimes.

There is some surface rust on the underbody and a bit of rust starting to bleed through on the rear wheel well beneath the door. The front passenger CV boot is leaking but no clicking so far. I would run it until it fails. The engine manifold has an exhaust tick (common for the 100 series), but goes away when it warms up. The rear brakes need to be replaced as I am feeling some vibration. I already replaced the fronts with new calipers, OEM rotors, OEM pads, etc. so my bet is the rears as front looks great. Timing belt was done at 110k or 120k (have to check). It has relatively new Yokohama Geolander AT G015 (15k miles) tires, and I recently put in a new spare winch and tire. Center diff works fine. I had an OEM hitch carrier installed when I bought it. Most everything works although the middle dome light does not come on when the door opens thanks to the previous owner installing a rooftop DVD player (I removed and replaced with an OEM dome lamp but have been unable to solve the problem...it turn on when using the switch itself). I replaced all four door speakers. Oil and coolant were recently changed. I also checked the ATF and differential fluids, all were good. New wipers. AC blows cold as can be and overall she runs great for being 18+ years old. Interior is in really good condition for the age. Would be a nice truck for someone. I hate to let her go, but will have to put the dream on hold for now. I’ll probably ask $13k for her. PM me if interested. I can send pics and would be happy to do a video chat with you to go through the vehicle if of interest. PS, I bought her in houston...used to live in the great state of TX.

Sorry about the inbox. Thank you for the offer.

I've got a white 03, 150k miles, stock. It's not for sale, but it's for sale. You could buy a 200 for what I would take for it.
