For those I talked to at last night's meeting: I ordered the new bushings and I looked at my birfs, one looks new, the other one looks pitted, but doesn't look like metal smearing to me.

It didn't take me very long to get the new TLC up in the air and apart.

They never break. Ever. Now it's on the internet so it is forever truth.

*not a cool build post*

BUT has anyone ever repaired a brake caliper piston? I find rockauto sells "repair kits" ... OR should I just buy new calipers and toss the old ones in the parts bin?

In years past it was more inexpensive to rebuild. These days the cost of new calipers is such that it doesn't make sense to rebuild them. Buy new and move along.

Wrapped up a clutch this weekend. Along with some other items.
Clutch, pilot bearing, throw out bearing… along with a few engine 2F goodies. Header, and a reman starter. Also a bucket full of chromate bling came back.

"A-Premium Front Wheel Disc Brake Caliper Assembly Compatible with Toyota Land Cruiser 80 1993-1997 Left and Right 2-PC Set " on Amazon (it won’t let me add the link)

I'll let you know how they look when I get them in hand. I paid 100 for both sides, no core charge. 3 years of returnable warranty for like 19 bucks I think.
But I'm not too worried about long term because I eventually want to go to running the 5th gen 4runner setup in a year or so. Maybe once I wear out these new EBC greens.

Yeah, I think I'm just going to run a probe to a digital gauge. I can't solder to save my life.

This would SUCK to encounter. I'll be getting a set of the brackets on the way to burn into the LX.

Its starting to look like a 60 again. New Shoes showed up, 37 12.50. Spent the previous few day removing some old damage and mocked the new billar in place. Was able to get My drivers door Bolted in place.

Nice progress!! Truck is coming together...
