Finally getting around to installing my twin stick setup I got from Georg at Valley Hybrids. Needed to fix a transmission problem also so two birds with one stone kind of thing.

This is where it gets a little different. The folks that installed my toybox lengthened the factory arm here. I will have to get this back into the truck to measure and see how I am going to install this part of the shifter. The factory rod most likely 7 inches shorter than this as that is I think how much longer the toybox move the transfer case from the transmission. We will see.
how much that cost ya?

On the way there
One thing I found when installing my shifters from Georg, is that the bend in the lower shifter (the 90 degree bend) is very tight up against the wall of the transmission hump. I had to make some extra room there with some well placed ball peen hammer blows.
Also, it was hard to fit the shifter blocks on the shaft with the shaft installed. I think I installed the blocks on the shaft, and then installed the shaft.

Thanks for the pointers. I need to put the block on and the lower lever to do my measurements. I will the take it off, do the welds and then install as a unit as you suggest.
Did you weld in the 2 sticks also or do you install them in a fashion i which you could remove them later?

fwiw, i will be selling the kits with an updated 2-4 shift link ( the 3/4" round bar ) from now on. this will be available after the first of the year and will eliminate any body interferrance issues. if you are not able to make the current one work, i'll be happy to send you a freebie replacement!

Could I install it without taking apart the transfer case? I am not sure if I can get mine out without taking it apart.
As far as progress I am waiting to get back over to work on it. I was waiting on a part from Marlin that showed up on Xmas eve. I need to put that clip in and mount the Crawl box and T-Case back to the transmission thats still in the truck. Then I can measure everything and and make my cuts and drills.
That would be very nice of you to send me one. I will be glad to pay for shipping.

After looking at the pics I think you have two options:
1) use the existing 2-4 linkage
/extension on the shift rail with the updated shift rod. Then I'd have to send you some parts to swap out on the kit since essentially you'd be utilizing the standard linkage, not the one designed for the doubler. This would not require any t-case work or mods. However, I'm not a big fan of the added length/extension to the shift rail since you could end up with leverage and deflection issues.
2) use the existing kit with the updated shift rod. This would require you to modify or possibly replace the already modified 2-4 shift rail. That might require some t-case work depending on the shift rail mods. Hard to tell from the pics. This option would give you better geometry.

i need to mount the back half back up so I can see how or if its going to work. I would prefer to not break open the t-case as i am trying to get everything back together for a jan 14 trip to the Lonestar Jamboree. I will try and get that together this week and then I will make a direction call. Thanks for the response.
