turn signal question

Ok guys this is another turnsignal flasher question. I put led turn signals up front, and they do not flash when the turnsignal is on. I know I need a electronic flasher, but they do flash when the hazards are on. They also will not work when the lights are on. The leds came with 2 pos. leads and a ground , one with a resistor on it and one with a transistor on it. I was told from a guy at work that the one with the resitor would be for the running lights. The resistor is I think 360 OHMS. Why would they flash with the hazard but not with the turnsignal switch?

Check your grounds - especially around the fender mounts.

Yep. Two positive leads (Green for parking and GY/GB for T/S) and it grounds to the fender thru the big assed bolt. I had the same problems, I ran leads from the T/S to the grounds I have my horns hooked up to, and all the problems went away

Why would they flash with the hazard but not with the turnsignal switch?

The original flasher is load sensitive and needs a certain amount of watts to heat up the bimetal switch. With the hazards there are 4 bulbs lighting up instead of 2 and this is enough load to trip the flasher. Get an electronic flasher that is not load sensitive.
