Put Second Skin's Spectrum under the liner.

how would you get the spectrum to lay even and smooth? Can you get a uniform layer, even when going from horizontal to vertical surfaces?

Also, I assumed it was not so rigid and would smash down or dent depending what you put (or throw) on it.

Spectrum is not in sheets/rolls. It's anything from a liquid to a paste (depending on if you get sludge or not). You can apply it as thick or thin as you like. I plan on using it to level out the floor somewhat in mine.

Since you have to paint it on was why I was wondering how even it can be applied. I was under the impression it was for the underside/outside of the body rather than inside.

Anxious to see your pics and you opinions after you take the project on. Hope you have good results with it.

You can spray it, brush it, roll it, or slap it on and use your hands (if you use sludge). So as smooth or rough as you want. I don't see any reason why you couldn't sand it smooth after it hardens if you wanted it super smooth.

I've used it on the :princess: truck with good results (thought not on the floor), so I anticipate good results. I will be certain to post up pics and results.

So it completely hardens? Another bad assumption on my part--I thought it would dry to a spongy sort of surface...very surprised it can be sanded even.

Hard as steel? No. Soft as a sponge? No.

It's hard to describe. It's very firm, but it does feel soft. Kinda like soft touch paint, if you've ever seen those on a smartphone.

You could probably leave a mark if you dug your thumbnail into it, but I wouldn't worry about walking on it, etc.

Anyone going with bedliner, What did you do about the harness? I am considering removing carpet, would love an OEM rubber floor, anyone have a part number? 80 series
