Just putting a feeler out, would any of you be interested in a day trip or maybe even a one nighter in Borrego on the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving? :cheers:

Feeler is done this thing is ON..... Lets set it up for SATURDAY November 24th. And pack your leftover turkey for a lunch on the trail.

Official Meeting Location (8:00 AM): Intersection of 78 & Borrego Springs Rd.
San Diego Meeting Location (6:00 AM): Costco by Qualcomm Stadium
CB Channel: 4
Leaving the pavement: Buttes Pass Rd., about a mile South from meeting location.
Lengt of Trail: Approx 45 miles according to Google Earth
First Obsticle: The Slot
Sights: Una Palma, Five Palms, 17 Palms Oasis, Pumpkin Patch, & The Salton Sea.
Time Permitting: Play around in Truckhaven

We'll be running the Bradshaw trail (Salton Sea to Colorado River) on Thanksgiving:) I already called the whole family and informed them we wont be around this year! Sorry, but taking over the company means no more vacation.. we have to go out on Holidays now. If you can get away Mark you are more thank welcome to join us. We are leaving Thursday and returning Sunday.
 
I'll be in Disneyland.

I still have to do my brakes before I do any runs!!!

plan on doing any geode hunting? there are some beds around that area as you get closer to end ( the way you are doing it ) I hit that trail from the river side but only went in as far as the beds.

Depending on how smoothly my birf job the weekend before goes I may be up for a day trip. What trails are thinking of running?
 
Well, I just happened to be perusing the map and I was looking at two areas I have never been to and that would be the Badlands area South of Truckhaven around; Fault Wash, Arroyo Salado Wash, & Basin Wash. The other area I was looking at is out West of Ocotillo around Dos Cabezas Rd & Volcanic Hills. But I am down for whatever.....

My buddy goes to Disneyland every year with his family, he even asked his wife to marry him there at dinner a few years back.

We go every year for 4 days, 3 nights. The kids love it.

I suggest Truckhaven, because you can explore that place for DAYS. Just pick a wash and go . . .

Loads of fun.

OK, so far it looks like Lance & Ulyses are down and Dan is down if he doesn't break his truck doing the birfs. Would you guys rather head out the 8 to West Ocotillo area or South of Truck Haven?
If we go out towards Ocotillo then I have a co-worker with a Heep that has a few other Heep friends that live out there and know the area very well that we could hook up with. Very good guys, and I have wheeled with them before.
 
I'm down for whatever, i've never been down there so either way it will be new for me:flipoff2:
 
I just talked to my co-worker and he said he would be out in Ocotillo and he was thinking of doing a long run on Saturday, then he mentioned the infamous Squeeze. I told him no way, then he asked me how wide my truck was, again I said No Way I have yet to see a picture of an 80 doing it....... So hopefully I can talk him out of that trail and we can have a decent group for a Turkey sandwich run.
 
I aslo asked Vinny about it and he said he was thinking about it, so hopefully he decides to show up as well
