Turbo to a 2H. (1 Viewer)

I have the VDO pyro but with a black face. You will be very happy with this gauge. Do you have any EGT figures yet? What are they around town and on the highway? You will find that the temps will be higher in places you didn't expect. When I first drove on the beach after fitting the turbo I had heaps of power to pull Fourth gear in the soft sand but the temp quickly hit 550*C so I knocked it back to third and the temp dropped almost immediately to 450*C, knocked it back to second and it dropped to 350*C. Pre-turbo I would have been 3rd gear low range in the same conditions. If I didn't have the pyro I probably would have cooked the turbo that day.

Tapage, Mine arrived at the end of last week but was not fitted until late yesterday afternoon. Must say its great to have a good mate in the U.S.A. cheers. The 2inch VDO looks a bit small against the 2 5/8 sets but the VDO is very neat and quality looking.

this pic of the manifold has dropped out.
The T3 runs to 10 lb at high revs on the road way above the speed limit but will spike to 12lb by revving the motor out of gear.I could not recommend continuous driving at 10 to 12 lb.LOL. Perhaps with the pyro I will find I can back the fuel off some more.cheers

Cool set up Tapage it looks great. I went to the white gauge face as its easier for me to see in the period when the light is low before its time to turn on the lights.Probably old age catching up LOL.

Cheers , I have only been to the shop and the Post Office since we fitted the pyro, will post up the info when I have some that gives a better indication of whats happening.
