Do any of the aftermarket suppliers of turbo kits for the 3B sell just the exhaust manifold? I know 13bt manifolds are available for about $500, but I'm hoping to do better than that.

Where did you get that price of $500 for 13bt manifold and did you find anyone that had them?

I think AXT would probably see just the ex manifold but it will only fit the AXT turbo as far as I know.

Cheers,

Michael

AXT will NOT sell just the manifold, at least that's what I've heard!

And if I crack an AXT manifold...?
G&S qouted $500 for a 13bt but they'll have to confirm that.

I have talk to AXT, those guys will sell just the manifold. I would not advise the AXT manifold (not bashing here, I have several AXT turbo 3b myself) it sits the turbo too close to the head and valve cover also you end up with inlet and exhuast ports hoizontal on the top, not a really good location. The 13BT is a much better setup for good inlet and exhaust routing. Ok G&S I have asked them about that as well, fist is finding the price than actually finding some. They also have a great price on a new CT26 I think they quoted 1500 for one. One thing to keep in mind if you do the 13bt torbo on 3b you are going to have to do some rerouting of oil filter but I think it is a much better solution. I posted pictures of my 3bII with 13bt turbo under another string label tubo postion or something like that.

Cheers,

Michael

I posted up this site but no one replied with any expierence. I had one fellow that works for christo tell me about it and I think he used it on his 240sx turbo project.
It looks pretty neat and you can build it and use what ever type of turbo flange you want

What do you think of this manifold?

Micheal, if you go searching you can locate a fitting for the water connection on the valve cover side that allows the oil supply/drain to be vertical while still allowing the valve cover to be removed for valve adjustment. Using the AXT supplied fittings you either need to remove the turbo for a simple valve adjustment or you need to cock the oil supply/drain off at a significant angle (not at all recommended).

Never thought to ask if they would sell just the manifold.

Is there interest?
