It is going to be close, but lots of folks have done this.

With my rear springs flipped for a little more wheelbase, I only have about 24" wiorth of rear driveline. I don't know what it would be stock, but I imagine it will still work.

thanks for the info going to run 35's and soa so hopefully that will help a little but maybe i should flip my rear springs. Guy who is helping me with the rearend builds heeps and says I should be ok but hes never worked on something as good as a fj so we'lll see. Is flipping the rear springs difficult or ferly easy? how much does it change the wheel base, how does it look? Sorry for all the questions but after owning mine for 10 years and having had it torn apart for three I finally am putting my foot down and am taking money for it thanks for all your help and advise

Flipped rear springs, 4" SUA lift, 38.5 SX's.
Rear fenderwells are trimmed to be about 5" longer. Centered the tire perfectly. I trimmed them open as much as I could while still keeping the complete radius at the bottom corner of the quarters.

About to roll.

Since you are going spring over, it will not be an issue. The center pin on the spring is not centered, so as it is now, there is more length on the back of the spring. The springs are just unbolted, flipped 180 degrees, and put back on. Now the longer portion of the spring to the center pin is at the front, thereby lengthening the wheelbase the couple inches in difference.

You can get a more accurate extension of the wheelbase by measuring the difference in the center pin from end to end. I don't know an exact number off the top of my head.

not real sure what i am doing for gears yet the 44 front and the 60 rear are goth 4:10 and I havent had the 350 gone through yet so not sure whats in there. Not real sure what I am going build it for yet I am leaning towards a daily driver acasional mud and snow rig. When I bought it in 94 I was just going to use it for hunting rabbits and whatever else we could fined in Eastern Oregon. but now it has become a addiction to get it going as bullet proof as possible.
