Say what? I don't remember this vehicle. Do you have any more info? Are you sure you're not confusing the 100 series body on a 2500 Chevy truck chassis with a Dmax in it?

Alia,

You maybe correct, I may be confused but I could have sworn he did a Dmax swap in an 80... Still the man has skills, and has fabbed some awesome rigs, bling or not.

I like it, Alan does some amazing work. I wish I could find some info on his old lt1 on airbag suspension 80 that he did back in the 90's.

so.... which forum would it be on?

Agree, Alan Podvin does have some serious talents.

I like it too - while taste is subjective, I really get bored of cookie-cutter cars & would enjoy having something built that retained factory reliability but had that "something different" that would make it all its' own.

Sure, we could all play "internet dectective" & pick apart the title status, or whatever bugs you / isn't to your taste, but in reality how many of all of us saw something, big or small that we each would incorperate into each of ours "dream 80" - I dig the tilt cowl, the way it looked like the spare carrier integrated into the exo cage - and the design of the exo cage up front at the A pillar.

There are things that might not be exactly as each of us would fabricate -- but being one of Podvin's creations it represents everything from large concepts to small details that I know I would personally integrate into my 80 - especially once I've got some rash on all the panels.

Like Onur said - If I was well-heeled to the tune of cash outlay for a "Dream Cruiser" - Podvin would be my 1st stop too.

That A pillar exo cage design will probably be my inspiration / basic design if I ever do a exo - and I've been eyeing a dead wrecked Toy 4WD Xtra cab down my street.

First off, my job requires thick skin so I don't mine the honesty about the vehicle. No hard fellings.

Well, I like it and I didn't pay 30,000. for it. It was either this thing or a new taco or tundra. I liked it better than both and since 70,000 miles is like brand new for a LC I went for it. Its worth what someone will pay for it and I wasn't the only one trying to buy it.

Cruisertom911- I don't have more money than sense. I'm now flat broke with at least a little sense. I mean it is a LC.:meh:

99uzjay- I don't know about the 40th thing. It has the auto climate control, dual tone trim on the doors, but like you said the leather is mono tone. The Badge # is 3681. Is their a positive way to tell?

Adicted56- I will wheel it, but probably no crawling. I’ll get something more aesthetically repairable if the rock bug bites.

Atticus- I got the geo metro three cylinder conversion put in so I can tow my kids in their wagon around the yard. Seriously though, I don't have anything to tow so I wasn't too worried about it.

To everyone who thinks Alan Podvin's skills are amazing:clap: I agree completely.

In the trucks future, ARB lockers, EMU heavy suspension, dual battery set up, roof rack, and more lights. Current picures in the 80 registry pg.32. I can't upload any more pictures right now. https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/218093-80-series-registry-32.html#post5871870
