Some day the LJ drivers of the world are going to unite and protest in your front yard. So remember as a good host you would want to make enough lemonade to serve 5 ( that number includes a glass for you and your wife). ...............1978HJ45:cheers:

you might want to include the KZ owners but by the time they make the drive up ... well most won't make it.

We could always trailer them to within a block or two of your house and show up in mass......that would really screw with your lemonade budget.:):)
(On a more serious note) Are the 3L heads having the same issues as the stock heads or are they holding up better? ......1978HJ45

they are dying as well, it is a design flaw, not a material flaw.
we have seen a few of the LJ78, LJ71s with the "ugraded" 3L head installed and have them crack within a year of Canadian driving...

L series = BAD.
KZ series = 'almost as' BAD (but at least you have some power to play with)

Thanks for the information.
( On a different subject ) I had the opportunity to drive a 1985 BJ70
(Canadian Model) this weekend and thought it was a very nice Cruiser. Unlike my "H" diesel Cruiser, I could actually exceed the speed limit somewhere other than a school zone. ....1978HJ45

wait till you get to experience an HDT or a turbo HZ/PZ ...
You do recall that I am in the U.S. therefore that opportunity will be slim to none. We only get the 10 MPG V8's down here. A diesel is that loud thing the farmers and truckers drive. .........1978HJ45

and then you get to experience what a true diesel should sound like...
a gasser wit a tick...

My "H" diesel has a "tick" all be it a rather loud tick......
Hopefully the Cruisers you refer to will be available down here someday......................1978HJ45
