Hello all. I finally got my truck where its running great aftter breaking a fan and jambing the fan into the radiator. I had to buy a new radiator and decided to ditch the fan for an 16" electric fan. I have an adjustable temp sensor and the fan turns on around 160 and the truck never goes past 190.

The truck is a torque monster. It will spin the tires in 2nd gear and into 3rd without the use of the clutch. I almost pissed my pants.

Nonetheless, I was testing the brakes and hammered on the brakes for a power stop to ensure everything was working. Well the fauker tracked to the passenger side. I'm at a loss on why it would do it becasue I have discs all arond and a brand new booster from BTB.

Do you guys and/or gals think it could be related to not having an adjustable proportioning valve? I have the valve from BTB, but it does not adjust.

Opinions appreciated.

Anyone?

Not any help on the tracking part, but I feel your pain on the radiator. Got my project running sweet tonight and tested some flex on a wood pile out back. Jambed the fan blades in the radiator. Got a new radiator on order from radiator barn and looking for a stock fan. Good luck with everything.

Start by making sure all the lines are bled thourghly. Also make sure there isn't anything on your new pads and rotors (grease ect.. ) If you've done any suspension work since driveing last and your castor has been changed, that could be a problem as well.

Need a proportioning valve. I had the same problem. Ass end of the truck tried to come around to the front. I ran with out one for 2 years only t discover I had a leaking rear axle seal which is why I dod not have full breaking. Fixed that then scared myself on a hard stop. Do you test stops ona gravel road if you can.
I got my valve from Summit. Ordered and arrived a day later.

just do some more panic stops in forward and reverse , the brakes will seat in and may be fine. at least a half dozen hard stops. You have to be sure all shackles and steering and front bushings are good as they will cause this effect if worn cause during a hard stop everything loads the front and the caster may be effected enough to change steering.

Alright I did a few more panic stops and the truck stops much better now. Still has a slight problem, but I'm sure it will work itself out. I'm just wondering if I should buy a proportioning valve too...

Why would a rear leaking axel seal cause a breaking problem?

gear oil on everything.
