Truck bedliner as carpet replacement

What do you guys think of replacing the carpet with truck bedliner?

The truck will be hotter, noisier, collect more dirt and you will be exposing areas the manufacturer never intended anyone to see. That means it's not very aesthetically pleasing.

If it's anything like a 60, the floor will be covered sound dampening, which is a sticky, tar-like substance. It's a pain to get it all up.

i used a rubber mat from a toyota tacoma bed. 80 bucks on Ebay and its a good solid robust non skid service. a bit heavy though.
