Hi,

Got a problem with my rear parking sensors. While it would make a long beep when reverse is engaged and then only start beeping when objects are getting closer, I now get after the long beep, 3 beeps, one pause then 3 beeps etc. Obviously, this is regardless whether something is close by or not.
I checked connections from each sensor to the rear harness and sprayed WD40 on these but the problem is still there.
I looked in the owner manual to see of there was any reference to rear sensors but can’t find anything.
Can you please help ?

Best regards

Thibaut

They come with 4.2 TD LX in europe. I believe they are standard for european spec

In the 200 series, there're custom setting in the NAV screen. Make sure your sensor(s) are not damaged and clipped tight in bumper.

I had a 200 series, that someone oriented the sensor wrong during install. It acted very strange until I corrected.

No advice, sorry, but I would recommend adding your location to your profile so you get the right eyes on your problem.

Yes, I am in europe
After some google search I found some reference to the number of beeps providing details on the error that is occurring. However I can’t find what 3 beeps mean nor how to fix it. Reading then workshop manual on the mobile phone isn’t easy....
Any help appreciated

Best

Ok so I have sorted it out.
You can find a workshop manual for troubleshooting rear parking sensor.
In my case, the 3 beeps in a row indicates a connection issue with the rear sensors.
I fiddled a bit more with the connectors and the three beeps went away. Problem solved !

Now Just have to get the front wheels rebalanced
