MY For those who have a troopy 47 series or others who may know the length of the 1/4 panels ?
from the door post to rear = ?
and
from the door post to centre of wheel = ?
I have a bj42 where the rear body is totally pooched and will be replaced with a lengthened frame, I already have the roof panels.
The plan is to get rid of the 60 series I use as a work truck carrying 4 x 8 sheets of drywall and wood / tools and turn the 42 into a 47 series troopy which will also turn into a camping vehicle.
It will have dual tanks and ride on 33'' tires and turbo 3b.
I had asked woman which she preferred the pick up or the troopy and she replied ''the troopy'' as she went to school in one as a kid !
First I need these dimensions to start off then the thread will follow.
info I have now is :
BJ42 wheel base = 2285
47 series = 4760
