Paul,
I am not a Troopy guy, but I can certainly appreciate the fine metal work on this. Is it a prototype for more to come?
Thanks for helping keep the breed alive!!

More or less a prototype, all is the same as normal troopy, apart from seat configuration..3 rows , all forward and leather, a couple of storage boxes, and that rear end, the bib and hood, doors and window shield are all from the older style .And a Toyota turbo diesel 5 speed...we will change the shocks for coils and 4 bar and put in disc´s..I´ll post some pics as we go..
If you guys are interested I have pics from when we started, Doesn´t show you how to bend metal, but every step of assembling the new body.

lomusass, great work as usual. Is it possible to add a rear passenger doors to a Troopy? I always wondered if it would be possible to do something like an LV for access to the rear seats. I have never seen the insides of a Troopy or how they are built so not sure if it could be done, but I know you would.

I'm sure that if anyone could do it, Ehsan or Paul could do it. Sorry for the "messy" pic but we were taking out the "Cheap-o Dynamat." I'd think you'd have to cut out the fender wells and leave the gas filler neck. The windows would have to go and you'd have to add some custom windows.

...too much work for me!

The widows would be the easy part bc the backs are just flat. the doors would be the tough part. wonder if there is a cruiser door you could start with and reconfigure it? tank could be relocated? yea lots of work, but the Troopy's seem to be plentiful in later years with less rust. The only thing I don't like about the Troop is the limited access to the rear. But if it is kids going back there who cares right. Post some more pics all.

This was how she came, but after 10 minutes it was obvious that 90%of the body just would not work, so it is always easier for us to start afresh, than patching..
We were left with the cowl,. all supports needed to be changed, and a small amount of repair work..
