Hey everyone
So, I just received my weather tech mats in the mail and realized they don’t fit perfectly into the 2006 lx470 I have. I was wondering if any of you guys can post about how you have trimmed them to fit your 100 series. This is currently how they are sitting...

thanks
Larry

For the universals they have those little Hershey bar cutouts that you can slice out to fit most applications, but as you can see "most" isn't all, so you will need to make your best guess and just cut where there aren't pre-molded lines. I prefer the laser-scanned versions even tho they aren't as beefy, but others don't like those either for various reasons (thinner material, not 100% accurate fit).

Gotta say that the front mats fit nicely. The back rows are off. Did I get the wrong set? I called weather tech and they confirmed that the ones I have are for the 100 series lx.

@Lcerva why didnt you go wiht the 3D fit ones? they look like this

No trimming required

Yes. You definitely should've splurged for the more expensive "digital fit" mats, so you could enjoy this level of custom fit:

That's the second mat from WeatherTech. They replaced the first one because it didn't fit well and was curling up.

I laugh in solidarity. The 3D fit mats have been amazing in every car I've owned in the last 8 years, but the fit in the LX is total crap.

I didn't pay for mine and I still feel ripped off (they came with the truck). Worst mats ever.

So, I butchered the mats. I’ll have to live with it for now. It’s surprising no one has come up with some solid aftermarket mats. The 3-d mats may actually be a step up from what I have now. But, still not 100% satisfactory. Someone make these better! :barefoot:

I had a look at the options in our Amazon store and oddly it seems they make a fitted front and rear set in that style for the GX, but only the front set for the LX is fitted. Here's some pics of what the GX mats look like. If you think you might want to try a set of those, I'm happy to go out and get a pic of them in the back of the LX so you can check fitment. Here they are in the GX.

I bought these and can't be happier. Amazon 1st & 2nd row floor mats $35

The fitment is almost perfect, front and back. You can find them in amazon and ebay. IIRC, I payd around $35 for the whole set.

I bought the weather tech mats too, like OP said the front is perfect but 2nd row terrible. Looks like if you trim they still wouldn’t fit right. One clarification these are not the generic universal mats that you buy at Costco so did expect a better fit. Will go to the digital liners.

I've posted these several times because they're awesome. I spent weeks searching for mats before buying these because I didn't want to deal with the WTs warping or anything else being too thin or plasticy to stay put. These are from a company called stardiamond. They're available off and on through ebay or Amazon. Extremely heavy, and rubber, not plastic. They stay put, provide additional sound insulation from the ground, and have complete coverage with great fit. Just rinse them with the pressure washer or hit em with a spritz of APC if they're stained with GA clay. No wear at all in just under a year and the color hasn't faded yet.

If my mats had come in like OP, they'd have gone right back.

Here's some pics of the same GX mats in the LX. You can see they don't cover the center area however. I like @MongooseGA's option too!

I have WeatherTech floor liners in my 2000 LC and we love them. Same set for about 12 years. Looking on the WeatherTech website just for giggles, I noticed the liners are not available for the 2006 LX but they are available for the 2006 LC. What am I missing? Why not just order the LC version and have a perfect fit? Are the floorboards not the same?
