Tricks to removing the cargo area access panel to the fuel level sender? (1 Viewer)

My screws were stripped from the PO, I ended up having to use vice grips, then replaced the screws.

I’d avoid heat. If your fuel guage gasket is dry and cracked there could be some vapor escaping. A impact driver with JIS tips would be the best tool, but if the heads are stripped, I’d drill them out. I think the screws are threaded into a clip.
