brad and his daughter rose marie are riding with Garrett and I.

Actually i'm going to have to back out. Andrea can't make it and my cruiser is spitting goo out from the axle (which is strange since my axle job was around 7k ago) So without a ride I need to spend the day looking at my axle and trying to make a money tree grow to fix parts.

Al - what is yours leaking? My daughters is leaking gear oil from the driver side seal. She was 5.5 hours away from school when I heard about it. She had the diff filled and drove it home, so I have axle seal's and gaskets on the way to replace. Also odd given that they were supposed to have been done less than 20k miles...unless this is problematic typically. Hers is a 91 with SFA.. is your SFA or FF?

Nevermind Al, unless you changed axles you should be SFA as well.

I have an event at Durham Academy from 8 to at least noon (350 XC runners in 4 races) so its not probable for me to make it. Big guilt but I couldn't get out of this, sorry...

No worries man! It's your job.

It's the front that is doing it. The rear is a SF but I do have a FF waiting to be put in.

I think Logan and I narrowed it down at work today. My diff breather seems to be clogged up which could have caused the birf grease to be pulled into the axle tube when I when through some water crossings.

Sucks I actually wanted to get out there tomorrow.

hmm. i just read this thread. I will actually probably run into you guys but didnt realize that you were all going to be up there for a work weekend. I will be there with a couple non cruiser guys so unfortunately i prob wont participate. Sorry, I wished I wouldve seen it earlier.

Me and lucas just got back from URE. Lucas was pretty excited about being out in the woods. Had a good time myself too. It was nice to do some volunteer work. As usual it was great to see some familiar faces and meet new people.

glad you made it out and Lucas enjoyed himself. Nice looking 40 you got there for sure.

long dusty day on the trail; we had a good showing of about 15 people and a few stayed for some trail time. Good day, just a dusty one, but whats new in URE.

I appreciate you guys (as well as the others) who represented the Olde North State Cruisers today in such a positive way. Job well done, cheers to you...

Del,

It was good to finally meet you. You live 2 minutes away and I had to drive 1.5 hours to meet up.

Great turn out and I think we had a good start. Lots of trash, fixed a few of those water sheds, posted some new trail markers, and pissed off some bees...OUCH:bang:.

Jason Free....It was great working with you and talking a bit more..TEAM JASON just couldn't be stopped.

My biggest complaint is those water sheds though....does there really have to be so many of them? It seemed like they were ever 50'. My poor hanging exhuast took a beating. 28" tires, sagging springs, and a long wheel base vehicle made for a hard day on the trail in the old Mall Cruiser.

GREAT TIME.

Thanks to all who worked yesterday, much appreciated by those of us who couldn't make it.

 R

To echo what others have said we had a great turnout!

I think I had nightmares about digging drainage ditches last night...while it's definitely a necessary task, I much prefer picking up trash. Next time I suggest we rent a jack hammer and leave the pic axes at home.

The only pic I took was once I got home for proof that the 40 has been dirty (at least once :)).

we had a good time as well. My sliders took a beating on the trails after the work was done, glad they were there. I think a trencher would be more productive then a jackhammer. I took a couple pictures.

I see all the guys sitting down or leaning on shovels...and the only pic that shows work are the two young ladies. What gives macho men? :p

Then again I'm not sure how those two ladies ended up so clean when it was all said and done.

only 49 minutes for someone to notice that. :)

Dang Jon dirt on the 40, I never thought i'd see the day :D

Kinda bummed I missed out but I just spend all day pulling every front suspension piece off of the 80. Next weekend comes the diff removal, how fun
That mother is heavy
