Well I never made it to Mike's today....there was a tree in the trail.
Actually it was the trail in my bud's back lot. It was 30" across and a good 80' tall, taken down by one of the freak windstorms we've been getting pretty regularly. Pulled it off the stump then sideways to get it to finish falling. Only broke one shear pin on a double line pull. :whoops: Saved the tip for a footbridge across the stream, and I think the rest will frame a nice size barn.
Nice 40* working weather.................until it started pouring rain and I had to drive home. Maybe I should be working on a top instead.
