In an effort to use this here forum thingy more, I have a suggestion and thought I would post it here.

What would the membership of the club think about spending $100 a year to join Tread Lightly!?

http://www.treadlightly.org/memberships.mv?action=description&memtype=Clubs

We would get the following:

Receive 40% of membership dues back in free Tread Lightly! educational materials, annually
Fifteen copies of Tread Lightly!’s " bi-annual newsletter"
Tread Lightly! banner- 28x72 full color banner featuring the Tread Lightly! logo on ultra durable vinyl
Eligibility to receive our one-page tips for the cost of shipping and handling only

One thing that we have facing us more and more is that our trails are going away because of concerns over land use. It sure would give us credibility and help new people who join the club learn some responsibility on the trail.

Thoughts?

Sounds great to me. I know the club paid for Jon Fretwell to attended a Tread Lightly class like 2 years ago but nothing really came of it other then a few discussions at the club meetings.

I am up for anything to save our trails so I say we should go for it.

Sounds good, I'm in...

Well, Schmitty...you are the man now, so can we add this to new business for a vote at the next meeting? I'll bring all the info and present.

I agree with this one. It is easy enough to get done and to make sure we can throw that logo up on the site (since I think it is up there anyway :) )

We have the banner and training materials. I am still on the Tread Lighly email list as well. The Master Training fee included our membership fee for the year so we should look at doing this again.
