Well boys and girls, I just ordered my SC from Sparks Toyota..should get it next week.

These are the last of the TRD SC for the 5.7L engine, as Toyota discounted them. If you want one you'd better call and grab one while you can. They have only a few left and are going quick.

Hard for me to even imagine a SC'd 5.7L. Cannot wait to see the outcome.

so i guess my question is now do I go with a Unichip or URD ECU? Sparks uses the Unichip because it comes preset however the URD has more adjustments. UC is $500 and URD is $700 decisions decisions.

anyone know which is better?

What year is your 200? I still suspect a Tundra ECU can be utilized, especially on the 08 - 11 models.

Tundras were still covered by warranty if a charger was applied. Just wondered if the same went for the LC considering it's an all Toyota (TRD) application.

also, just heard the rumor that Magnuson, who made the SC for Toyota, bought the rights to the SC and will start making them under their name. They have already started selling the TRD (minus the TRD) SC for the tacoma.

so an update. I decided to go with UniChip as Magnuson and UniChip worked together to match the supercharger with UniChip ECU. Was told it is the preferred ECU as they've fixed all the issues with it throwing codes in the past.

SC goes in this Thursday

oh also. Just talked to a tech guy at Magnuson and he did confirm that they will be putting their name on the TRD superchargers. The next SC to come out will be the 5.7 and then the rest to follow, including the 4.7.
He also said that the 2013-2015 5.7L SC are a bit different than the predecessors. The housing is updated and the fit is apparently better with regards to application and fit kit parts.

While he couldn't give me a price he did say it will be cheaper than the TRD.......but of course it wont say TRD baby and everyone knows that having TRD on it makes it go faster!!!!
