It was a pleasure. Completely worth it. Glad they got the bugs out. You'll love it. are you doing the Tundra brake swap?

I didn't realize people were putting this S/C on the LC 5.7 motor.

$7,100 for the supercharger AND fit kit before installation? Ouch. I paid less than that for both the S/C and the fit kit installed at a local dealer several years ago on my Tundra. Does the unichip addition and tune really make it that much more expensive?

I really can't speak for the LC200 having this motor and S/C combo since I don't own that but it makes my RCSB 5.7 Tundra crazy fast and the gas mpg did not change much at all. I do have to use premium though. The best part is that the truck looks very plain on the outside but is a beast on the inside.

Toyota should have never discontinued the TRD S/C kit in my opinion.

I am looking forward to hearing how the install goes...

Me too. I had written the SC off a while ago (after much fantasizing) due to the code throwing issues, but if it's truly resolved I may have to get excited all over again...

I'd just love to see a proven bolt on (plug n play) supercharger/ecu/intake/exhaust combo come together before I purchase my used LC200 because the first two mods will be this and the tundra brake upgrade before it even leaves the dealer or within a week thereafter.

I emailed magnuson and got a reply from a sales manager that they are indeed taking over the Supercharger program from Toyota. She said she'd put me on the call back list. YES, YES, YES!

I'm anxious to hear the model year compatibility of their kit/ ecu combo...

[I assuming they'll probably release this news officially (since nothing is on their website) at SEMA next month.]

I was told by Sparks the code issues have been resolved, i don't know it to be fact but it seems like Sparks is frontrunner on installing these on 200's.

Also, talking with URD they said they are coming out with a new Automatic fuel delivery system that will auto adjust for the best performance. should be interesting.

The one thing i liked about the UniChip is it came with the plug and play harness where as the URD you have to splice....

The '16 brakes are shared with Tundra and may just retro fit rather than requiring a fabbed bracket in order to accommodate the Tundra brake. I asked and Brian Jowett answered in another thread, I'd check with him on it.

you're going to need some fender vents for additional cooling with all that horespower...

The tundra is a retro fit. No fab needed. Brian mailed it to me

Just a couple of small tweaks to the caliper so the brake line will bolt up properly. Much of the remainder is a collection of Genuine Toyota and OE supplier parts. I've had upgrades on the drawing board and prototype stages for years... now is a good time to complete those.

update on SC install.

So it seems the valve gaskets were seeping into one of the coil packs. They found it when changing the spark plugs, said it wasn't a big deal and that everything else was going smooth. They drop the TJM Bumper monday to install the intercooler then throw it on the 4 wheel dyno

you're selling your 200?? jeez, I figured with everything and the time you put into it you'd keep it. What is your next project?

I ordered a Tesla model X and am building a 4Runner for off-road stuff.
Green light is for the built in radar and laser shifters.

radar and laser shifters?? WTF are those?

Nice on the model X...only a $150K

It makes it invisible to laser radar detectors long enough to slow down. Just a really, really good radar detector. Saved my ass more than I can remember.
Yeah but I get a 25k tax credit!
