will driving a 1995 cruiser without the front primary driveshaft in place damage the transmission.

Don't think you could get the truck moving with a driveshaft removed unless center diff. lock is engaged. Others have reported doing that with no harm done though.

Frank.

Will not damage transmission.

Trying to do so will likely kill the Viscous Coupler in the transfercase. Avoidable like Frank suggested by engaged the center diff lock.

DO NOT operate the vehicle with a driveshaft removed unless you lock the center differential. You do not need a center difflock switch to do so. You can shift the transfer into low range and then pull the shorting pin out of the CDL connector. You can then shift back into high and the center will remain locked until you re-install the shorting pin.

Now THERE'S $100 worth of info for free. You won't find that piece of advice in any manual either.
