If you’re dead set on getting your transmission fluid red, you can jump some drain and fills and simply disconnect at the transmission cooler feed line.
After seeing my fluid, I’m not dead set as when I first started this. I thought about you’re method but at this point I think incremental improvement is the goal as long as it doesn’t create issues.

Gotcha. The point of issue creation (hopefully not) may be tough to find before you actually experience any potential issues. Regardless, post what you do and how it goes.

After a transmission exchange about a year ago in my 2016 and then having a radiator job done back in March, I drove the car for the first time in a while (this is my wife's car) and I noticed slight surging in RPMs during gear changes in the higher gears. After some counsel from a guy I trust on the forum, I'm going to check the level and add fluid if needed.

Does anyone have a dummy version of checking the level and adding fluid? I have never messed with a transmission in these trucks.

This link is what I used and it worked great. I am planning on doing it again in the next year or so. I used OEM toyota WS the first go around ( about 70k miles) and plan on using Ravenol WS this next time.
