All,

I need to have my tranny rebuilt. It started whining really bad on the way home from work and then no go. I see mudrak recommended for FJ 62 work. Does he do tranny's? is there someone more local (san jose bay area) that does good work also? If I take it to murak I will have to have it towed and that could cost up to $500. I will if I have too but I want to cover all my bases.

Talk to Georg at Valley Hybrid in Stockton (think he is going to be the closest). I don't think many have had good luck with the rebuilt A440s, might be more worth while to get a low mileage used one, but again talk to Georg.

Sounds like the perfect time to install an H55F!

I thought mine was toast too, flushed it and 6 years later still going strong. You may get lucky

Georg at Valley Hybrid would be able to. I don't know of any other shops in the area other than Mudrak but that is further than Stockton. You could always check-in with your local club to see who they recommend or if one of them can do it for you.
