Does anyone know of a ready made HD skid plate for the transfer case? The factory heavy guage sheet metal leaves a bit to be desired. I could make one...just checking to see if it is a worthwhile project...

You don't feel that plastic one is tough enough?

You mean you know how to install this turbo sitting on the here bench?

Oh heck yes! Better than anybody! Just call you and give you my credit card number and it's on (sort of speaking). :D

Dual Exhaust, Quad Tips. Yeah Baby. All that on a 50th Anniversary Cruiser.

Any specific reason you went with a 100 and not another LX470, or did you just want something different and less a T Trails flame target? haha...

The turbo kit was designed for a LC. Since we have the guy from Australia coming here to help with install I did not want to many surprises. The hydro pump & front facia could have been a problem.

Also, having the LC will enable me to play a little more with different springs to determine what is best suited for what setup. I still prefer the LX over the LC in terms of looks and inside ammeneties. I do not like the AC controls on the earlier LC's. This one has Nav, so it is much better (rear looks more modern).

Since I sold my old blue 95 80 series, I have stopped to be attached to cars. For us they end up being R&D pieces that get changed pretty often, depening on what is needed.

OK when you gonna sell me the shortbus?????

I found an article on another website that gave me a good idea for the skidplate. I am going to reinforce the existing skidplate with 1/4" x 1" steel...shouldn't add much weight and will certainly be more protective than the stocker. Since I have a MIG and some steel stock it will be cheap anyway...l If it works out I'll post the pics.

I spent several hours underneath my 100 yesterday and I couldn't be more impressed with the plastic skid plate and the transfer skid:rolleyes:

Actually after just getting back under the cruiser it will be pretty simple to make a good skidplate for the t-case out of 1/4" plate...too bad the front skidplate wouldn't be as easy to fab.

The front plate is decent. The plastic crap has to go and the replacement will go all the way back to cover the transfer case.
