I was getting really bad vibrations, so I took both driveshafts off. I was also getting some weird clicking sounds as well(started well before the vibes got bad), but I assumed that was the u-joints. After removing the driveshafts, the rear u-joint was completely shot.

Now that both driveshafts are off, I rotated the transfer case and got what sounded almost like a marble like sound. I'm just wondering if this is normal or not. There is no vertical or horizontal play with the flanges, just a little slack when rotating the flanges and the sound. But they feel fine for the most part, minus the slack(normal?).

Please forgive my terrible camera skills, but any help would be appreciated.

Hey, no one is replying, so if your transfer gear lube is a golden color and there are no chunks of metal then your probably okay. These transfer cases are pretty beefy.

I'd just do a quick drain and refill and take a close look in the bottom of the pan for metal. The drain plug needs a crush washer and should be torqued to 27ft/lbs I think it is.
