Seems the boot that covers shaft linkage has torn and I'm drippin fluid everywhere. Am I mistaken to think that the seal behind is probably dead too? Part numbers 36318 and 36313J on page 16 of the pdf lowcountry has given us (thanks again by the way). I havent done much doing this type of thing but it seems like a pretty easy fix? Seems like I just have to slip a new seal and boot on or am I going to have to pull the whole son of B*tch down and take her apart to fix it properly?

Easy, the cup seal goes on first then the boot slides over the lip on the first seal. Grease it all up.

This is for the 4wd shaft not the hi/low shift fork right?

Nope, that is the 4wd shaft; it goes in to disengage and out to engage. Hi/Low fork is on the top where the rod in your PIC terminates.
