tranny question

im curious and wondering if the 90-91 auto trans are compatible with the 88-89 engines.. i found a good used trans out a 91 and want to use it in my 89 fj62

I *think* the answer to this is "yes". Someone knows for sure though...

The FJ80 has AWD so there might be an issue with the tcase. Not sure on the trany.

You're not getting too much traffic. You might want to ask the 80 series guys.

Makes sense I guess, they're still using the same motor. What about the FJ80 tcases? Any info on them?
