Hi Guys,

I just received one of those Coolcraft tranny coolers. It is the 24 inch model and will be going on a customers HZJ73 truck this week. He isn't into offroading so mounting requirements aren't too specific. This cooler apparently doesn't need ram air on it all the time - so you can mount is just about anywhere under the truck.

I'll try to get some pics with it installed.

I am having a shop install it - I'm not into trannies.

Whats inside Louis ,is it an open cylinder?

It's actually 2 feet long, the company told me it would be more than sufficient for his needs. Apparently the heat sync design is much more efficient than the radiator design. Gimmic? Not sure, the owner will only use the odd time, and we don't have the mountains or terrain to really test it out.

Regards,

make sure you don't disconnect the factory rad cooler, that still has to be functional for witner time use...

I thought it have a route inside .. or it have outlets at the othe side . ? just wondering those holes are little for oil flow from a Toyota Tranny .

I have seen those used on hot rods with big motors. The Heat Sync's work great especially on aluminum.

Same cooler I'll be running on my 60 with V8 conversion. I've seen them for years in the Hot Rod market and they work great. I also had thought about this design for a. nboard shower type of setup with another tube for freshwater around the outside.

Looking at one of these for my Prado auto, I E-Mailed Cool Craft ,but no reply.
Do's anyone know if Cool Craft deal with retail order's.or export to oversea's order's. Thanks

Joined E-Bay , tryed to buy one of these Cool Craft oil coolers but was told by A T Raceing that they don't sell outside Australia. It seems they are only an internet agent acting for supplyers. probly in the USA.
Any one know of another way to buy one.
Kevin
