trailering a 200 series?

About to be joining the 200 owners club this week. But before I do I'm going to have to trailer it >200 miles back home tomorrow or Friday. I have very appropriate tow rig and trailer. My question is, where are the best places to chain to on these units? I saw in the owners manual that the rear emergency tow hook is not to be used for tie-ing down the LC for transit. I think I can figure it out, but just curious to see if any of you had any words of wisdom or caution.

I have enjoyed reading this site over the years, but have not done much posting. I don't even recall my old screen here name from my previous days in the FJ60 + FJ80 world and I'm just now gettin back into the LC world. Bought a 1998 100 series back in December as a 3rd car. I cannot keep my wife out it. So we are trading off her 13 Yukon XL for a used 200.

I think it's best to tie down on the frame of the vehicle as to not compress the suspension, if at all possible. The KDSS would probably prefer that too. Using the receiver does not accomplish this. To me, newer vehicles are harder to tie down. IFS vehicles can be even trickier (as to not scratch / damage the body). I'm sure there are a few good points to strap/chain to, but I don't have the vehicle to look at right now.
 
We normally put axle straps around the rear lower control arms and go underneath the axle (so a loop around the arm where it attaches to the axle) and strap backwards crossing to the side of the trailer.

Front go onto the front A arm and go through the middle of it straight forward if you can. Might have to look at the truck to figure that one out. That way the straps don't come loose when the truck bounces up and down. You are not compressing the suspension.

We usually use E track and wheel nets. But most multi-purpose trailers are not set up for that.
