I'm wiring in a trailer socket on my 79, and it already has a connector in the loom, it's an 8 way item with the part number 90980-10891 and looks like this:

I need the other half of that, the male side. From the FSM this is all I can find and cant find a part number for it, can anyone help?

90980-10890 is the mating male connector. The repair splices needed to populate it are 82998-12430.

The connector housing will be about 10 bucks. The wires are, well, around 17 bucks a piece.

BUT if you buy the gold-plated version, 82998-12450, those are about 6 bucks a piece. :hmm:

Excellent thanks. Great logic there from Mr T on the pricing though!

I buy terminals from Eastern Beaver. I even bought one the crimping tools on his site.
Even with buying that tool I have saved money by not getting Toyota splices.

What is the male version of 82998-12340? The plug in my loom has the aforementioned terminals so I need the male counterpart

I've had another look into this and can see I made an error, and ordered the wrong part which was 82998-12340 this is a female, non sealed part. So @cruiserdan was spot on with his part number.

It was an easy mistake to make. I got the 4 and the 3 mixed up and ended up with the non sealed female version.
