Got a hitch connector from Cruiser Dan many moons ago, but haven't put it in because of the issues below.
There is supposed to be a pair of connector just for that purpose. There is only one, and it was corroded. But I have rigged it up ugly, but OK. What I presume to be the 2nd connector is not there and the only remnant is 3 wires (circled in yellow). The new red/brown connector need 2 of those 3 wires, and I'm hoping the 3rd is just a ground (I already hard grounded the new box.) Can anyone tell me which of these 2 wires goes to red and which to brown?

This is a 1991, if it matters.
And the 3 dead-end wires are red/blue (maybe red/black), green/white, and green.

Well, in case anyone else ever wonders, the Red wire responds with 6V to the backup lights. The Green wire responds with 12V to the position lights, and the green and white wire responds with 12V to the brakes.
So as I understand it, the Green/White LC wire hooks up to the red trailer terminal. And the Green LC light connects to the brown trailer wire.
