A quick post to not only introduce Trail Teq to those who haven't heard of it, but to also share our Black Friday sale. 15% off with the code BF2024
Trail Teq was soft launched in July this year in a few Facebook groups. Our sole focus is 80 series products. We're Australia based, but we have sent our products all over the world, including the US, UK, Europe, Malta, France, Germany, and even Iceland.
Everything we make is designed to be extremely easy to install, saving time and headache for the enthusiast!
Our two flagship products are our Plug-and-Play keyless remote entry kit, and our hardwired steering wheel adapter kits.
Keyless entry is not a 'new' thing by any means, but our kit is the first on the market that is 100% plug and play, requiring no alteration to your original wiring loom, so no risk of damage or mistakes. The value in the kit is in the ease of install and the safety of not damaging a fragile 30+ year old wiring loom! If you had the OEM optional Toyota alarm that had Keyfobs as well, you can replace it with this kit if it has failed or if you are sick of the alarm giving you hell. Over 50% of our sales for this kit have been to the United States, which inspired me to post our products on here!
Our other flagship product is our hardwired steering wheel adapter, which allows virtually any modern Toyota steering wheel to be fitted to an 80 series and have all of the stereo control buttons working, horn working, and indicators to cancel as they should. Our customers have fitted early 200 series, late 200 series, 300 series, Hilux, Yaris, Corolla, Camry and 86 wheels. The only modern wheels that we have found incompatible are XV70 Camry wheels (the latest model) as the spline is larger.
Currently we have an adapter to suit RHD cars only, however our LHD adapters are nearly finished development and we expect them to be ready for January launch. With the launch of the LHD version, we will also be adding the ability to have your OEM 80 series cruise control on any modern Toyota steering wheel (even if its currently mounted on your steering column!)
