Arrival

Desmogged 2F and 5 speed. No leaks at all on this unit. Run well and will be racked for a future donor one day.

Clear coat is burned through, a little surface rust. MANY holes in the roof due to OEM rack and spoiler at one time.

Stripped down and ready to move to the spare shop to start the body work.

I will be doing this paint in house. I've finally gotten the schedule working for me and will be good to get back to some paint and body work.

What front Seats are those?

what are the plans on dealing with the roof? weld in patch panels and paint ? where the wonderful OEM roof rack was (I had/have some issue)? Are you also going to do some kind of interior sound proofing or other treatment on the interior (ceiling ) also ? Just came across this and mine is an 1986 version. Whom-ever installed these so called OEM roof racks ( i guess the dealer)...needs a #$^%@# . I've tagged the thread to watch...thanks for posting up.

atleast it is from a good state!

@Elbert more than likely I will solder in a stainless steel screw and zip off.

The OEM racks were pure bling trash. I've had to do a few of these and agree a swift kick in the A$$ would be satisfying.

Off to a good start. Will you be keeping the 4E8? I just bought one that needs the same treatment...

Following. J you always do great work and make if very fun to follow progress.
