7:00 @ night from chimney entrance(by myself) went down to the basin to check out the water, couldn't stop, so I continued. Came across large walnut tree on trail pulled out the strapes and took care of it;p now passable. That trail with water is such a blast, youv'e got to get out and check it.trail # 4431 if I'm not mistaken. Saw a bunch of animals on the road and the rain stopped just for a few hours while we were wheeling. The mud holes are full at this moment have fun!!!! Saw a kid my age 25ish on redington @ 10:00 heading east w/ a sweet looking fj 40 maroon, I was a little buzzed thought for a second it was a cj5, but by the time I relized what it was I was gone, gave a wave and took off. Brought a friend out who owns a Heep Cherokee, and he said he's looking to sell his vehicle and buy a FJC after last night, he couldn't believe how well it handled:cheers: See yall on the trail!!!

I ran out to Chivo tha afternoon. Water was flowin good enough at the creek crossing to wash up over my hood (with a little help from my "combat" water entry).... Took the trail up around the falls. That hill up around the falls is no joke!

So anyways, everything was full and flowing, it was great. I have not seen water like that around Tucson in years.

Hope you Payson guys had a good time, cause you missed some of the best we've had in Tucson for a long damn time.

7/30 went over Mt. Lemmon waterfalls were running like crazy and so were the tourists.Came down control road(lame) came around backside had to run some rivers, water was flowing very rapidly. 2 1/2 feet of water and my vehicle performed flawlessly(stock high intake;) )came up through redington and went to italian trap loop back to offshoot of chiva was beautiful back there. Had a blast!!! everyone has to get out to enjoy this while we still have it:bounce: Silvia glad you had fun!!!!!Yes the hill above chiva is hairy:popcorn: would have liked to see that-nice joobbb!

We think these are wolves, but not really sure, certainly not coyotes.

Sweet pics, that last one looks like Mexican Grey Wolves (I think they're endangered)

OOOOOOO....I got chills when I seen the pic with you above the Falls. I was there 2-years back when a dude fell from the Falls to his death....with his wife and kids below. Oooooo!

Shotts, I think you have a thing about cliffs, I remeber the first time my father and I went out with you to the rim road and I was standing on the edge of the rim and you asked me if I trusted my shoes or something...

Yes I do....ever since one tire partially slid off Black Bear Pass in the rain in the 100.

When I was a kid I was fearless. Now that I'm an old fart...I'm a wuss!

don't go to Toroweap on the North Rim then...

Nice pics silvia:) , did thoughs animals have radio collars on their necks??? They are definetly not coyotes, are you messing w/ us? They have to be someones dogs-Mexican wolves have not been reintroduced in our area due to lack of acreage in wilderness areas. They have been reintroduced in the White Mountains but not this far yet. Shotts are you talking about Black Bear pass in Telluride Colorado???

Yep! We almost died in the rain in the 100 in 2002. Rear right slid twice right after you cross the waterfall. The tire tread was half off the road.

I've been so shelf road insane since, however there is good news. Over the past year....the crazy roads hardly bother me. I think I'm almost "back"?

I think they'd shut it down altogether before they would widen it..

Not sure what those canidae were. But, they were not coyotes, nobody was around at the base where they were spotted, and they seemed to want little to do with people.

Their fur was more white than grey if that helps.

I've seen one West of Red Rock Rd. on the north of I10 and south of the Pioneer Parkway.. My father and I were coyote hunting and called one in..

Or maybe it was down near the Vekol Valley, it was about 14-17 years ago

Leaving tomorrow morning for trip to Flagstaff (cinder hills here I come, will take pics), then 5 days in Telluride and 2 days in ouray(hotsprings). Going to be conquering all the passes I can find illium, engineer, redmountain, imogene-probably not going to do black bear yet till I get my upgrades(tires etc..) My father had done blackbear back in the day w/ his 40 cruiser when it was super ruff, someday I'm looking to bust it. I can't believe at the waterfalls you had done that, thats the waterfall at the end when approaching tohelluride from the pass, correct? Relix you may have seen one of the last survivors when they were close to extinction if it was 17 years ago, what a treat. Did it howl when you were coyote calling??? That's crazy Silvia, makes me wonder what thoughs were;p Cool pics.

Have fun, though if you don't do Poughkeepsie Gulch you'll be extremely disappointed. It's the only challengin one and the scenry is second to none. Getting up the wall will be difficult for the FJ but it can make it. If you struggle try the FAR FAR FAR right side.
