I have a 93 FZJ 80 w/ eLockers and 7pin on 37" SSR's w/ about 60%

tread and syped. 206k on the OD but the eng only has 80k and trans

has 125k. It also has some kind of high flow cat and Flow Master exhaust!

It currently has no bumpers or sliders. That can be changed depending on what you have.

I want to trade for a 2nd generation 4runner with 4 doors, a/c and

would prefer Automatic but if you have a Marlin dubler or 4.7 low

gear in it I would take a stick! But it MUST have a SOLID AXLE

SWAP and lockers!!! I am not that concerned about the body

condition just don't want a rusty one!

If I have to put a price on mine I would sell it for $6500 and I would

include a tube front bumper for that!!!

So show me whacha got!!!:D

This 80 does have one little malfuntion....here is a link to the tech thread https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/191327-sometimes-wont-go-over-10mph-like-its-outha-gas.html
80% of the time it runs AWESOME!!! I just drove it 60 miles and no problem ran great! But then some times it will sputter for a little bit like its not getting gas. IT HAS TO BE SOMETHING SIMPLE like the fuel pump or something.

This is not why I want to trade...the reason I need to trade is I am 6'4" and believe it or not the 2nd gen 4run fits me much better! The shifter on these 80's dig into my leg and I'm always hitting the over drive but with my leg too. The lay out is just much better on the 4run.

i did the same exact trade, that your talking about and regretted it after about 2 weeks. Im 6'2 and the runner was not more comfortable than the 80, ALOT more room in the 80. I sold the runner and bought my 80 back. just my 2 cents, dont do it.

i'm 6'3", and i rolled my built 4runner and bought a HDJ81 (jap spec 80) and the 80 has so much more legroom. x2 on the don't do it

So doesn't the shifter dig into your leg???

I have a gen.1 runner i'll trade you. If they haven't talked you out of a runner yet, are you interested?
Maybe if you had duel cases, lower gears, sliders, bumpers ect!!!;p

Take the dead pedal out, that will give you a lot more room.

It's already out but the shifter still digs!
Made a few simple adjustments to my seat and now it's OK! Not great but it's good enough and me thinks I will keep it!:p

Go for a 60. No leg problems here:D. It's all that plastic and electronic gizmos that eat up your space.
I guess I would consider one that was built:hillbilly:!

I took my seat to a upholstery place and had them rebuild/reshape the cushion. I'm 6'3" and I must sit a couple inches higher than I used to, which means I don't need the seat so far back, which means I don't hit the shifter at all. The 80 has such a high roof you can get leg room by going up with much better/softer cushion rather than going back.

Highly, highly recommend for $200. Turned my 80 from an uncomfortable back killer into a cruise all day rig.
