The balance on my CSL Plasma debit card is up to $145 ! Halfway there to my Auburn locker for my '62. At $60 a week it looks like I'll be locked up for Mcgrew in July. That is, if I can get some help(Aric, Jesse, Jerod, etc.) putting it in. That would be a good learning experience for me. According to Aric that also means a rear brake job also. :D

I'm down for installing a locker. Upgrades are way more fun than just basic maintenance. Besides a locker is only a couple hours to install.... I can taste the warm Miller High Life and breakfast burritos already!

 White people!!!

There must be a "SST" for that right? Scissors jack and a skateboard?

And how about aftermarket shackles? Isn't that a cheap way to get an extra inch or two of lift?

Well? Was that an offer to "build" ?? BTW, I'm up tp $190 as of today. My arm is sore though.

Gotta do what a broke Cruiserhead's gotta do! I think I'll change my handle to Bloodworm or maybe Plasmarized! If I get taller shackles doesn't that mean replacing the shocks too? Maybe the right shock would increase the lift some? I'm not interested in jacking it up too high, I don't want my center of gravity to get too high. Then I'll need bigger tires, gears and a Vortec to push them around. OMG, I need to make an extra 10K somehow. I'll bet Aric would be in for an engine swap Huh? Especially if I win the lotto. I could just hand it to him with a suitcase full of cash and come back a couple months later to find..........that Aric doesn't live there anymore! :D

Longer shackles are good up to about 1.5 inches of lift (shackle 3 inches longer than stock=1.5 inches of lift...)... beyond that the shackles get too long and it starts to look dumb...

Shocks don't hold the truck up, unless they are coil over shocks which have springs, or are the kind that you can pump the pressure up in...

Are you just trying to combat some ass sag? Maybe adding another leaf to the pack would help...

The front shackles are stock. The rear shackles are not. I believe they are an aftermarket type for FJ62 or maybe off of an FJ55. They were given to me and installed a few years back. When they went on the back did come up at least an inch. Definitely made a difference with the truck fully loaded. I'm game for some adalifts or extra leaf of some kind. Where would I get something like that and would I need to do all 4 springs?

Sell me your 62 and buy an 80 :p

Why in the world would you want a 62 when you have a nice 80? By the way, did you pick up some gas and 2 stroke oil for that wacker? How high are the weeds at your place? :D

hehe, I keep the 80 and add ;) Haven't had five minutes to stare at the wacker.
