it would have been easier to "justify" the trip than a stop at home depot to save 12 cents...

"And i havent called Nick to set a time"

So do you want to wheel or stare at a weed wacker?

$255 and counting. Should be able to order at the end of the week. When shall I plan breakfast for?

Rear locker install(coming), rear brakes(have shoes), starter rebuild(have kit), T-case rear output seal(have seal), shifter work( ? ), Two front shackles( shipping ) and front diff service( ? ). That's what's on my to-do list. Couple weeks before I have all the goodies.

As of today- Drumroll please.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,.,$320 ! I think Monday I'm ordering my Aussie! It may be time to start working on a breakfast menu...? What do you say? A weekend just after next payday(20th) would be good for me. I'd better buy it quick before the usual s*** happens and I end up spending it on a Dr visit or other stuff like a plumber or even groceries. :D

Any comments on getting this thing? Direct from Aussie or does anyone have better connections or better prices elsewhere?

mining claim run is that weekend.

maybe the next weekend, club recovery and wrench fest.

Sounds good. Talk it out amongst yourselves and let me know if it's breakfast or lunch! :D

Also I picked up some shackles. I'd like to see what you guys think about putting them on my front end. They look to be maybe a little over an inch taller so if I can get an inch+ there and some kind of added leaf for the rear end I think I'll be where I want to be heighth wise. I'm concerned about the size of the holes for the bolts. I think I'd feel better if They were larger so I can get some heftier bolts.

The new balance on my plasma card is less than $20..! :crybaby: However, there is a brand new Aussie locker headed my way soon...! Ooooh, can't wait to get to work on it.:)

Shackles only lift the truck 1/2 of the difference in length. 1" longer shackles only get you a 1/2" lift. hopefully you got a 2" longer shackle at least, otherwise it may not be worth it.

OK, so I'll have to do a closer comparison tomorrow- after I find someone to mount the 4 used tires I picked up tonight for the Nissan. s*** I'm broke!

Yeah, I want to get a tire mounter/ balancer something fierce. I swear I drop $80 everytime I even look at a tire shop and I never buy tires new either. Maybe we should get one for the club!

s***! I just looked around on-line and those things START at over $1000 for the cheap ones? Still, at $80 per change that's one piece of equipment that would pay for itself pretty quickly. :meh: I think this guy is gonna be my favorite graphic for these threads..:meh:..:meh:..:meh:..:meh:..kind of reminds me of ME! ;p

But it would be better if I could get them to do the WAVE!

Let me know how that aussie works out for you.... If you like it I might have another for the front end...
You'll have to buy a replacement pin kit for it (about $20) but other than that its not in bad shape.
I'm saying fk it and going to try something else. I've busted all the pins in that locker twice now and everything is within specs. Apparently those just cant hold up to a 350 in a cruiser (and the second time I wasn't even doing anything).
