I got new take-off wheels and tires from a local 2021 Tundra TRD Pro owner.

When I put them on my LC, I did the TPMS reset procedure. But I was stupid because my old wheels were sitting in a pile next to my LC, so it detected those. I didn't know the difference and just assumed it was detecting the new sensors. D'oh!

Anyway after about 20 mins of driving the tire pressure light came on and the dash says CHECK TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM.

I've tried to get it to do a new reset procedure but it won't enter the reset process now. Tried the button several times, no luck.

Is there any way to get it to reset again? Or am I misunderstanding the intent of the reset and either way I need to go to a shop and use an OBD2 TPMS relearn tool?

Of course, not sure the 2021 Tundra TPMS sensors are compatible with my 2015 LC, though they do appear to use the same frequency.

I have had them both in hand, and they aren’t even made by the same manufacturer. I have a set of four from a 2017 Tundra cheap if anyone needs them.
According to the chart, 2017 tundra is the year where Toyota switch TPMS system. Seem like you have TRW sensor.

FYI, oem Denso TPMS sensor is made by pacific.

Yes, the 2017 Tundra ones are TRW, as would the 2021 the OP asked about, right?

As opposed to the DENSO (Pacific/PMC) ones we have in our Land Cruisers.

The chart above indicate 2021 tundra use Pacific TPMS sensor. Same as 2015 LC as listed on the chart. I trusted the info.

the difference between TRW or Pacific is the TPMS id. TRW use alpha-numeric while pacific use numeric. Both operate at the same frequency 315mhz.

You could be absolutely correct. I’ve been burned by fitment charts on TPMS, so am now leery of trusting them. The photos above are from sensors I’ve had in hand.

I would be psyched for the OP if the sensors are compatible.

Again, just because it says pacific, that is not a guarantee that tundra sensors will work. There are at least two maybe three models of pacific sensor for US 200s and they are not interchangeable

One thing Jeep did do well was TPMS , I got tired of waiting for parts for my 2019 200LC was going 35x12.50x17 on RW wheels , I had the wheels and new Nitto ridge grapplers 35’s .
Got a awesome deal on a 2021 diesel rubicon wrangler 2 months ago … diesels are 1.25 higher than gas rubicon and easily fits 35’s just bolt on .
Came down to TPMS , I wanted to keep the stock wheel / tire set complete … as long as you have the correct TPMS Jeeps read any sensor , no programming needed , I bought a set of 5 Schrader TPMS worked perfect it recognized the 35’s
Got tired of waiting on parts on my 200 so just driving that stock for this summer since I put the 35’s that were intended for the 200 on the Jeep .
Work out for the best these tires are huge may just do 34’s on the 200 the whole Toyota TPMS programming sucks .

Tech stream has a ton of other uses, and when you get it working correctly makes TPMS programming a 2-minute job assuming you have the correct sensors and their IDs.

Anyone around Boise that can help me with a program?? I should have looked at this before installing my new wheels and tires 😂
what year and what problems are you having, what sensor did you get? Different year and sensors require slightly different approach.
