The Raisin / Trail Slut Toyota Rock Race Buggy is for sale! $25,500 OBO

Originally built & raced by Ben Swain of SLEE Off Road. Ben's a big guy, so he designed her for a MAN of stature. He's 6'3 and fits easily. He then sold her to Mike Sutherlin (also 6'3") to finance his Ultra 4 racer build. Mike added a few new touches to the original build. She now SEATS 4, has air bumps up front, an ATLAS IV transfer case built to his specs & changed the name from The Raisin to the Trail Slut. The only modification I've added is the VIN tag & title from my rolled 96 '4Runner.
She's got clear title in my name, so all you need to do is add taillights & registration and you're street legal!

Time for this one of a kind, BAD ASS V8 rock crawler
to have a new home!

Yes, it is.
It's been upgraded with an Atlas, more seating & street legal with the addition of some tail lights.

Pics with the 40" MTR Stickies are the more recent shots...

That thing is awesome, but I can't imagine how anybody could think they could make that street legal. Maybe there are no rules where you are?

(not trying to be a jerk, I'm genuinely curious)

Down here in Florida, a lot of trail rigs are "street legal".
If it's got lights & a tag, good to go.
We have no "vehicle inspection". Used to, but they got rid of it a long time ago.
No windshield? Driver must wear eye protection (glasses)
If you have a windshield, you have to have wipers to go with it.
None of those ugly mud flap & covered tire laws you west coasters have to deal with.
Mike used to drive it around all the time, even without a tag.
I'm just not willing to pay the fine, so I don't do it.

Picture a rail buggy on steroids. :)
Those are legal here too...

FYI...
Top 2 and bottom 1 picture are with the old Pitbull tires, and don't show the Atlas IV in the cockpit.

Very, very nice! Looks like the price is right for that drivetrain, GLWS!

On another note I don't think any state allows full hydro as a legal street vehicle.

Thanks!
She is pretty bad assed.

You may be right about the fully hydro thing.
I know Mike used to drive it on the road all the time.
Either he didn't care or he thought is wasn't an issue.

Sold.. Sold.. Sold... So happy with new purchase!

Congrats!
