Not familiar with these but my friend has one.

1966 Toyota Stout 1600 2WD
4 Speed on the tree
Original sales receipt from Wheeler Toyota (maybe 3rd owner now)
Odometer unknown as he is sure it has turned over but currently says 60172
Original color Avocado Green
All original except the carb

He is thinking of selling it or dropping a 22r(something) and tranny in it and disc brakes if he keeps it.

Looking for input on value and which direction he should go if he keeps it (original or upgrade drive train).

They are super cool... Until you sit in one and your knees are above the dash and you are pushing the brake pedal with your gonads. Not made for average height human beings or greater. That being said I've seen a couple with a solid axle swapped in the front, dare to be different!

I would say resto or resto-mod with a Toyota drive-train, Tacoma or????? I don't think that it would be a money maker as they are kind of rare but who knows
