Okay since I'm ditching the brake-integrated ebrake in favor of a tcase ebrake setup, it's opened up my options quite a bit for doing my rear brakes. Right now I'm running GM parts a-la TSM's rear disc kit. I've seen the guide for using 60 series front calipers on the back with a full floating rear end, but has anyone tried using Toyota disc brake components on the semi float axle?

I'd like a full floater, but damn they're pricey...

Did I miss what you are using for your t-case ebrake setup? stock non-us, aftermarket or homebrew?

edit: never mind, found you are going TSM, once that setup is ready. I've thought several times about making my own bracket for a t-case disc set up.

Found a decent cable supplier: Jim @ Parking Brake Cables

They pre-lube their cables & both the wire rope & the inside of the cable housing is coated. May be a way to salvage your Lokar/TSM/Eldo setup.

I did some work on the TSM prototype (I'm the 1st guinea pig) this week & hope to have revised drawings of the bracket for the Willow Creek boys on Monday. Also hope to get the cable figured out this weekend, too (decided not to chop up the late 40 cable I have - too pretty!).

I used the front cruiser discs and caliper on the rear. I made my own bracket and welded it on. In my build thread pg 9 post 254. https://forum.ih8mud.com/hardcore-corner/160807-family-haulin-9.html Either a little grinding on the caliper needs to be done for wheel clearance or run some spacers.

That's a damn good looking setup. Problem is I have zilch for fabrication or welding skills, so I can't go that route. After looking around, I think I'll have to stick with the GM parts until I can take the plunge on a full float rear and then modify a set of knuckle housings to use for brackets.

Steve, I chucked the Lokar stuff just this afternoon while redoing my rear brakes. Turned out I had ruptured the SS braided line where it connected to the caliper (damnit). But I went ahead and put the new Monte Carlo calipers on and got two front left hoses for an '85 Eldo with the 350. They work, but I had to doctor up my hard lines a bit and replace the factory metric fittings with 3/8-24 fittings. No biggy, but I hate having to redo the double flares in tubing that small
