@bubfuji : You might could find a replacement can from a parted out vehicle, or use anything to cover the small hole ie: stick something to the bottom of the can (rubber sheet, electricians rubber/butyl tape, etc).

Seem like the little rubber flap acts like a one-way valve, will allow (over) pressure out but won't allow suction (vacuum) to pull anything in (like water when fording a river)??
