It is the same red base. It is long lasting. It is concentrate @ $14. It is in both my Fords 7.3. It claims to go for 600,000 miles. I have given up on Mr. T's red stuff. Give it a look for a lot less $$.
I am just as " religious" about using OEM, and spend the extra money on most parts, but this is one of those things that can be safely substituted. In my so menial opinion.
I found this in the store for $11.97, but if you order it online and pick it up in store its only $8.19. Its pink and has all the right stuff.

Pink can be used in place of red. It is a one-way substitution. Red is still available in the US market. That could change at some point due to streamlining.
I switched to green several years ago. Less sludge in the overflow and you can buy it at Walmart in Timbuktu at 3 in the morning.
