i used some Tal-Strip aircraft stripper on it last night. took about 85/90% of the spray paint coats off. there are still some original spray painted stenciled lettering and numbers noticeable from its original use......

cool indeed...

Very cool M100! More pics please. Did you get a second for parts?

3 mins basic deployment. 10 with full rain fly and windows. 10 to pack back up. Not bad.

Can't bring myself to "like" that last, Bomar. Hope you have a quick recovery

@ntsaint what sold you on the CVT vs. Mombasa vs. Tepui vs. etc... We have been talking about one on and off for a little while and kind of debating pulling the trigger to get off the ground at SCC, but there are soo many options and I have no idea where to even start. Appreciate any feedback you or anyone might offer. Thanks

Long story. I bought a CVT ground tent (a new offering from them) two years ago. Used it half a dozen times. It rained on me half those times. Tent leaked badly. Owner shipped me a replacement. Replacement leaked. Owner offered to send me a RTT to make things right (solid move on his part IMO). After doing a lot of research and finding out that their RTT line is very well regarded, I accepted.

Having messed with it a few days the fabric is much more heavyweight than the ground tent, seams are done better, zippers are better, etc. Hopefully it will hold up in the weather.

So long story short (too late), went with the CVT kind of by default...but their customer service has been great through the whole process.

Tell your dad to get a programmer that deleted the DOD and it will make a world of difference.

Bobby and his wife are good people. I went with CVT because my brother has one and has for years. When his arrived the floor was damaged. Bobby drove to bring him a new one. (Bend to Seattle). Then I met Bobby at the Jamboree and he was super nice. Showed me all the stuff about the tent. Woody runs one of these too and had good things to say about it.

So I ordered mine. It arrived crushed by FedEx. Bobby helped me through all that and shipped another one. No problems at all.

SCC will be the first time I use it. So far the I lily thing that seems like a PITA is putting the vestibule on. Mine is on bed bars on the Tundra, so not so high up in the air.
