Yep. Quite a bit heavier duty than the 1/4 ton chassis. Typically used as ammo trailers, gen set trailers, etc. sit a bit higher and springs would be very stiff but you could fix that. Also, the newer alum trailers designed to run behind the Humvee are large but not too heavy.

My cover is attached to the frame. No slide in rail.

I think I will just add grommets at bungee it to keep air from getting under it.

Mine looks just like that but the blueish fabric is rounded and like a cord that slides in a groove in the aluminum channel that is rivits to the bottom of the tent.

So I was heading from the charcoal place to my downtown office and ran across this awesome place.

Holy Crap. This place is so damn cool.

So the nice guy there named Tripp walked me to the back corner where they have 3 M416 trailers.

None have collector value as the lunettes have been cut off or tubs have been cut.

Of the 3, 2 have good tubs. One is white and has a tailgate cut into it (what I would do anyway)

It is $550

The other is $650 and other than the ball hitch it is solid and straight.

Looking at prices this seems about right.

Thoughts?

You know I'm on the lookout for a good 416. If you go back by to check them out, text some pics. I don't mind taking a trailer to Memphis to bring one back if they are decent enough.

Those prices are cheap...I just don't want one that requires a ton of metal work.

Those prices are good if they are fairly solid. Folks are getting crazy money for them right now

Scored 3 M416's today. I will go get them in a few weeks and sort them out. Andy has first dibs on one, I am going to keep one. One will be for sale. Not sure which ones. I will post pics when I get them.

Here is an old thread on my last trailer.....

Saw this parked in front of Waffle House yesterday morning and had to go back for a closer look:

Was that truck actually hooked up to that trailer? Not even close to legal if it was.
