Thx guys. That's what I was looking for.

Sent from my iPhone using IH8MUD, and hopefully approved by the NSA.

I did have a RTT in my 100 and I loved it.

The only thing bad about them is that if you camp in the same place and wheel the area and then return to camp you have the extra weight up there and the PITA of setup and takedown every day (albeit small). Mattresses are the best in these.

I think the OZ tent is best overall. Rolls up/sets up fast. Rides on the roof. Can be left in camp.

There is a guy in AR that does trailers like that if I remember right. Overland trailer I think is the name. He's attended the crawl with several of those trailers that he displayed. Check his pricing. Not at the computer or I would.

This is the only company similar I could find in Ark...is this them?

If so, that's a pretty nice $5-$6k setup, and probably way better than what I was thinking about doing. Oh well...

I did the RTT on my 80 and its okay but I don't like wheeling with it up there and putting it away and getting the cover back on it each morning is a royal pain that high up for an old guy like me. I much prefer the RTT on my little M416 trailer. Working height is very comfortable and you can leave it in camp and still go wheeling. Never really had to wheel with the trailer as Nolen commented but imagine he is right about dragging a trailer down much of a trail. Guess it all depends on shat your wheeling choices are.

I've always thought the RTT was the way to go, but just like you say above...watching the guy next to me have to deploy/repack it twice a day got me to thinking the best thing may be to have something you can leave at camp.

My main concern with all this is room in the truck. If my wife/daughter go next year, LOTS more stuff will have to get moved out of the cab and either on the roof or in a trailer. And with a RTT, there's won't be much room left up top...

I'd have a RTT if I was running from the law...
In the outback...
And never returned to the same spot twice.

Yeah Andy that is the company I was thinking about. Pretty nice set-up.

to bad I can't give yall these. I have a whole yard of them.

If that were the case I would take ONE, Andy!

the awful thing is I'm giving these up from my yard. These are extras...I have 43 more!

Brand new (paint, wiring, tires) these will probably go sit at Shelby and rot.

Can I borrow 30k?

Hey, they were throwing them away!

That's a lot of truck for 30k. Price a pickup lately?
