It's all about tuning and gearing haha. The guys at thunder racing do a stand up job at efi tuning. Free flowing exhaust and intake help alot too.
The new chevy's have 6 speed trannys vs the 4 speed. Makes a huge difference IMO

Haha the truggy is pretty aerodynamic it seems. That and its light. Don't hardly notice it on the trailer. No doors and rear window down it just flows through. I'm excited to tow it to Alabama now I don't have Deryl's equipment trailer. That sob was a hause.
Truck and trailer did great on our trip to Mason, Tx for the Round Up at Katemecy Rocks2, averaged 10.8 mpg in Texas hill country and 11.3mpg on I-10 Louisiana.

First time I've ever had to pull over to drain water out of the filter yesterday in route to a Scout meeting tripped the dash alarm. I guess the bio could have had something to do with it but its a small price to pay
On my first 90% bio run I did 19 mpg unloaded to NO and back 284 miles EGT's running 200 degrees cooler. Throttle response was not there with the bio vs the diesel that could be in the ECU programming but it don't skip a beat on the HWY with the cruise on. That trip combined with a week of city driving yield 16 mpg on that tank 458 miles. I'll run a mix next time and check it again so far running the jet fuel or the bio it doesn't care either way

Nope, our stops never really matched with up a station with scales, not that I was looking that hard either.

That was the first thing I noticed.......he said beautiful 11 times in less than 1:30. They might want to re-think their ad man.

John, you didn't need a CDL and log book to put all that weight?
Lessons I have learned from hanging out in the Tow Rig section on Pirate4x4:
#1: if you ever tow ANY load with something less than a 1 ton you are guaranteed to kill a station wagon filled with nuns. Please note this is a minimum, if there is a rock crawler on the trailer you should strongly consider using a MDT.
Needless to say, no nuns were harmed getting this home.
